Help with Operations

dOrg is realizing the vision of a decentralized world not only through the tech we build for clients, but also in the way we run our organization. That’s why we have multiple ways for any member to contribute to internal needs:

  1. Swarm: Permissionless funding for spontaneous/one-off contributions.
  2. Initiatives: Pre-approved projects with fixed scope that advance dOrg’s strategic objectives.
  3. Roles: Pre-approved roles with ongoing responsibilities in distinct domains.

  • Ops Meetings - open to all members every Friday @ 11am EST
  • Ops Budget Sheet - tracks payments for all internal work.
  • Dework Board - tracks work items across all internal work streams.

Swarm

Any dOrg member can claim up to 10 hr/mo at $40/hr by logging contributions in the Swarm tab of the Ops budget sheet by the end of the month.

Swarm is intended to cover small tasks like content creation, bots, website fixes, and engaging on governance matters. You can claim or create new tasks in the Swarm Dework board.

Project sourcing efforts are NOT covered by Swarm, since this has its own commission system.

Initiatives

For larger scope items, you can request a dedicated budget. Check Initiative tracker.

  1. Use this template to create a proposal and post to the forum here.
  2. Integrate feedback and post for a vote on Snapshot.
  3. Track tasks in the relevant Dework board.
  4. Log work in a dedicated tab on the budget sheet.
  5. Submit treasury impact of your funded initiative using simulator.

Funded Initiatives (FI) leaders responsibilities:
  • Keeping track all builders log their hours and tasks
  • Funded Initiative doesn’t go over budget
  • Posting goals accomplished and work delivered on FI Forum Post
  • Setting mid/final reminders for reviewers

Reviewers responsibilities:

  • Check mid metrics are achieved and FI sticks to 50% budget. Report about it on the Initiative Forum Post.
  • Check FI final goals & metrics are achieved, plus FI sticks to budget. Report about it on the Initiative Forum Post.

If Funded Initiative funds are not enough ask DAO a funds extension.

Roles

For ongoing areas that require dedicated attention, you can propose a part-time role:

  1. Post proposed role details to the forum here.
  2. Integrate feedback and post for a vote on Snapshot.
  3. Track tasks in the relevant Dework board.
  4. Enter work log and hours in the Roles tab of the Ops budget sheet by the end of the month.

Leading web3 efforts to onboard new projects: client discovery meetings, outreach, SoW writing, and measure the sales strategy.
Nick White
Recruitment efforts, improving candidate experience, detecting hiring necessities to support client projects and team assembling for our clients.
Miriam Mendez
Keeping external-facing channels active with relevant content and handling press relations.
Anita Caldera
Member support, improving member experience, facilitating internal strategies, systems and processes.
Clara G
Vetting and interviewing technical member candidates.
Nestor Amesty
Counseling for all legal matters including contract review, drafting agreements, demand letters, and any other legal needs.
Alex Liu
Bookkeeping, monthly financial reports, compliance, engaging tax prep, streamlining accounting processes and FP&A.
Mackenzie Patel
